In the history of Lugar da Vista Alegre, the innovative social project that Vista Alegre created around the Factory stands out, creating conditions for workers to live close to their workplace and providing a set of infrastructure that allowed their entire family to grow here.
Tree-lined, with pleasant streets and developed around the factory and its central terrace, this neighbourhood included a theatre, a nursery, a cafeteria, a barbershop, a supply canteen, and even a football club (Sporting Clube da Vista Alegre) as well as the Vista Alegre Private Fire Department.
