With modern, minimalist and balanced features, the Montebelo Vista Alegre Ílhavo Hotel grows around the Nova Ala building, where the reception, the Vista Alegre Restaurant and bars as well as the wellness space with the indoor pool and Spa Vista Alegre are located.
On each floor of the rooms in the hotel's Ala Nova [New Wing] the production process for porcelain pieces is shown: on the first floor there are elements alluding to the Moulds of the pieces, the second floor shows the White Pieces and third floor is inspired by Decorated Pieces, this inspiration being assumed in the decoration of the common spaces and rooms, in the signs and in the hall of the rooms.
The balance between the old and the modern, the guiding principle throughout the project, is achieved through a cornucopia staircase that connects the Ala Nova [New Wing] to the Palácio Residência dos Fundadores da Vista Alegre [Vista Alegre Founders’ Palace], a centuries-old building that keeps its original design. The Palácio has ten rooms with unique architecture and decoration.
